Karen Avetisyan

Born in 1988 in Yerevan, Karen Avetisyan graduated from the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University Department of Intercultural Communications. He is the author of articles, columns, radio podcasts, film reviews, essays, and creative non-fiction stories in leading Armenian media. Karen is a member of the Union of Film Professionals of Armenia, the Armenian Association of Film Critics and Cinema Journalists, and the International Federation of Cinema Journalists (FIPRESCI). He has been a jury member of the 17^th Dhaka International Film Festival, 15^th Batumi Art House Film Festival, 9^th ReAnimania International Festival of Animation Film & Comics Art, and the 44^th Moscow International Film Festival. Since 2019, Karen Avetisyan is the Artistic Director and CEO of the Golden Apricot International Film Festival.
