Hrant Hakobyan

Hrant Hakobyan was born in 1950 in Yerevan. In 1974 he graduated from the Yerevan State Pedagogical University (Culture Department, Directing faculty), after which he headed the Ijevan theater, where he directed 14 stage productions of plays by Armenian and foreign authors. In 1979 Hakobyan began working in “Hayfilm” studio as a director’s assistant and second director. Since 1988 he has worked in “Hayk” film studio and directed nearly 40 documentaries.
