The Tender Genre

Old Believer Polikarp Ermolaevich Sudmoykin lives in the Transbaikal village of Bichura. One day the retired carpenter is suddenly visited by the muses. And although the old man had never held a paint brush in his hand before, Sudmoykin becomes a painter.

Aleksey Pogrebnoy

aleksey-pogrebnoyBorn in 1947, Aleksey Pogrebnoy is a Russian documentary filmmaker, an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and a laureate of two State Awards (one in 2000 for Lyosha’s Meadow and the second for the film Sorry for Living in 2004). He is the artistic director of “Vyatka” Film Video Studio Ltd. Pogrebnoy is a member of the Russian Academy of Television, the Russian Academy of Film Arts “Nika” and the Eurasian Academy of TV and Radio.
