Vahram Mkhitaryan
VahramMkhitaryan was born in 1977 in Yerevan, Armenia. He is a director and a photographer. In 2001 he graduated from the Armenian State Pedagogical University, Culture Faculty, Department of Feature Films Directing (Dmitry Kesayants’ studio). Later he got engaged in the production of Public Service Announcements as a director, cinematographer and scriptwriter. In 2005 he came to Poland as a scholar of The Lane Kirkland Program of Polish-American Freedom Foundation and Polish-American Fulbright Commission. In 2009 and 2011 received scholarship of Polish Ministry of Culture “Gaude Polonia”. He graduated from two Wajda School programmes – “Development Lab” for feature films and “DOC PRO” for documentary films. In 2014 he finished his first independent documentary film The Shepherd`s Song and the feature short Milky Brother. These are the first Polish-Armenian co-productions. They are shown and awarded all over the world on several film festivals.
