Avetis Harutyunyan
Born on February 5th, 1959 in the Armenian SSR village of Ujan, Avetis Harutyunyan attended the local school from 1966 to 1976, after which he worked in the Ujan sovkhoz as a laborer. From 1977 to 1980 he served in the Baltic fleet of the USSR navy. In 1987, he graduated from Yerevan State University’s Department of History. Before that, in 1986, he started working in Ujan’s secondary school as a teacher of history and social science, and later, as a head teacher. Since 2011, he is the principal of the Ujan Seconday School after General Andranik.
