Deadlock

Endless Escape, Eternal Return trilogy is dedicated to the most painful issue of modern Armenia – emigration. Each film tells of a hero: a theatre director, an engineer, an artist. The second film Deadlock is dedicated to Levon – an engineer, who was deeply respected years ago in Yerevan among those who knew him, since he did have “golden hands” and could “cure” any car. Right after the Soviet Union collapsed, when life became really unbearable in Armenia because of war and isolation, Levon immigrated to the Los Angeles, USA together with his family. The film follows his life in the United States, his hard work and family problems. What is the reason that this clever man with “golden hands” cannot find himself in this country of endless possibilities? Why has this family, once was seemingly harmonious in Armenia, appeared on the verge of collapse?
