APRICOT TREE International Ethnographic Film Festival
On October 2, 2014 the Board of Trustees of the Folk Arts Hub Foundation decided to establish the Apricot Tree International Ethnographic Film Festival.
On October 29, 2014 the constituent assembly of the Apricot Tree festival was held at the Folk Arts Hub Foundation, with the participation of the governing body of Golden Apricot International Film Festival and leading ethnographers of Armenia. The festival Board was elected, consisting of Levon Der Bedrossian (Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Folk Arts Hub Foundation), Garegin Zakoyan (Member of the Board of Trustees of Folk Arts Hub Foundation), Harutyun Khachatryan (General Director of Golden Apricot International Film Festival), Mikayel Stamboltsyan (program director of Golden Apricot International Film Festival), Susanna Harutyunyan (artistic director of Golden Apricot International Film Festival), Levon Abrahamyan (ethnographer, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of Armenia), and Gayane Shagoyan (anthropologist, Ph.D.) Tatevik Baghdasaryan (curator of cultural programs of Folk Arts Hub Foundation),.Garegin Zakoyan was elected chairman of the Board.
It was decided to organize annually an “Apricot Tree” Festival on the first Saturday of October in Yerevan, at the hotel Silk Road, belonging to the Folk Arts Hub Foundation (53a Aygedzor St.). Foreign guests of the festival will stay there.
