Haroutioun Bezdjian
Born in 1954 in Lebanon, Haroutioun Bezdjian was the chief of the audio-visual department at the Georges Pompidou Centre in Paris from 1995-2001, managing over 45 people, mainly highly qualified technicians for video post production, film and video archives conservation and restoration. He was an executive producer of documentary films on Art, Design and Architecture (co-production with ARTE, France3, France5, RTSR, RTBF, Channel Four, etc.) and assumed several survey missions for digitalizing the Centre’s video archives (over 800 hours of programs). Bezdjian was also in charge of the Video Art Installations (Nam June Paik, Wolf Vostell, Gary Hill, Bill Viola, etc. to name a few of them) and video installations integrated to Museography.
From 2001-2011 he was CEO of “Passages” self-owned company, dealing mainly with New Media Arts and Audiovisual production, consultancy and installations for Museums in France (Musée du Louvre, Musée du Quai Branly, Centre Pompidou, Paris Musées, Grand Palais, etc.). In 2012-2016 Bezdjian was in charge of a similar company called “Museoconsult”.
