Plateful of Junk
Plateful of Junk – Odpad na talíři
Synopsis:
Plateful of Junk is a student documentary about a phenomenon called “dumpster diving”, which is in other words picking food or other objects from dumpsters behind supermarkets. People, who participate on this activity, are trying to reuse the discarded and often still edible food and thereby protest against this form of excessive wasting. The film follows the story of two czech students, Vojta and Milan, who share this point of view and they also serve as guides for the authors of the image. The authors gradually explore the world of dumpster divers and experience a transformation of the food from trash into an edible dish.
